It's A Wrap!

Yesterday was my last day of radiation. I had two sessions, one in the morning one in he afternoon. That's it, I'm done. No more Chemo, no more radiation. Now my beaten up body can start to recover. I have been spending most of my last few days in bed, either sleeping or taking it easy. Eating is still a bit of hit and miss. Sometimes the food says down, sometimes I throw up a lot. So, it's a bit of a mixed bag between doing well and doing lousy these days. Now I am impatiently waiting to get better. Some people say that the coming week will still worsen my condition a bit due to the additive effects of the radiation. I guess we'll see.

You must be feeling such a huge relief. Congratulations on getting through what I'm sure is the greatest challenge you'll ever face. And kudos to Ange and your mom for being there to help you through it. You are all my heroes.

Dr. Dean Schraeder at the Centre for Natural Medicine on Lilac(is it???) I hear is a good post-cancer treatment naturopath. Detoxing, recovery, etc. All the best for a full recovery!
Love Kim

Thank God that part is behind you---you are an amazing man, and your honesty has helped me, and no doubt hundreds of others, to realize what life is really all about!
Take Care and let everyone pamper you--you deserve it!!
Thanks for the update. If you ever need some musical entertainment to cheer you up, just call and I will bring my quartet over to sing for you.

AWESOME!!! The worst part is over now. What a relief it must be to not have to face another radiation or chemo treatment. Take that cancer!!

Yer a freakin' warrior my friend. I love you.

Ange, you've carried the silent burden of being the "partner of the one who is sick" and you've done it with grace, strength and beauty (although I'm sure there have been many moments that have been messy and overwhelming). Olaf has made it clear from the beginning that he is acutely aware of how difficult it must be to be the one who ISN'T sick & I couldn't agree more.

My hat is off to you and I humbly bow in respect.

Watch TV, listen to music, be waited upon (by that glorious lady by your side) and, like you say, take it easy. I wish I was there to drop by from time to time, but know, always, you are in my thoughts.
I just noted in a journal entry that this Blog has kept so many people informed, and, more importantly, connected to you. Thank you SO much for your honesty and candor. Your generosity of sharing has gone a long way to easing our worry and filling our hearts. Thank you for this.
With much love to you both!
