Monday

Today I felt a bit stronger as I got up. Instead of staying in bed sleeping I decided to get up and deal with some unfinished emails. I also noticed that my room needs a bit of cleaning, I will do that after writing this entry. Maybe this is a sign that the days of depression are slowly passing. My last week was still pretty rough overall. If I'm lucky, this week will be better.
I have been able to keep all my food down. My biggest struggle is my mouth. There is still a lot of pain and I am still not able to swallow anything properly. My fantasies these days are along the lines of a big cold glass of Sprite that I could just down. Maybe one day.
Thank you everyone for regularly checking this blog even though the entries are sparse these days.

Definitely great to hear from you but very sorry you are still in so much pain. As always, if you need anything at all, (need a hand tidying that room?) please just let us know.

SO good to see your writing again. I checked daily and was disappointed when there weren't entries ... not worried, just disappointed. I knew you were mending, but want to know HOW you are mending. Like I wrote previously, the journey UP is time for celebration and we want to do that with you. Take heart that Sprite is in your future.
Love ya, man!

Thanks SO much for taking the time to let us know how you are feeling. Each wee step towards recovery for you is a milestone for me/us to read and rejoice with you! You will feel even better once your dear wife comes home, but I know from experience, that your Mom must feel blessed to have this time with you.
Take Care and know that we are all cheering loudly for you!!

Olaf, just heard and read your story. I really hope you're feeling better and that your spirits pick up. You are such a positive and inspirational man to me. Thinking of you a lot and please know that you're in our prayers.

I've got nothing inspirational to say. I just miss you and think about you every time I sit down at my desk to "work". You are the main reason I am here doing what I am love. You are a light and an inspiration always.
